Report: Al-Assad promises support for Russian projects in Syria

MOSCOW/DAMASCUS, Nov 22 (PRIME) -- Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has guaranteed creation of the most favorable conditions for Russian projects, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said in an interview to Channel One broadcast on Tuesday.

“We have agreed that the government of Syria will pay very close attention to each Russian company. We have submitted the largest projects in the sphere of energy and transport to President Assad. He personally guaranteed the most favorable conditions,” he said.

Al-Assad’s office said in a statement that the president and Rogozin discussed coordination of the two countries in a fight against terrorism besides trade and economic cooperation.
